Sharjah and Dubai [24 Dec 2005|09:26pm] I happened to come upon some pictures that I have taken few months ago and some recent ones, I thought of sharing it with everyone (^^ Dubai This picture was taken inside of Souq Madinat Jumairah A beautiful view of Burj Al Arab hotel from outside Souq Madinat Jumairah Sharjah Pictures from Radisson SAS hotel in Sharjah, it has a beautiful facilities, cafe and such, it was enjoyable stay for me. The lobby of the hotel Another view from the lobby. You can actually see the doors of the guest rooms up there. Beautifully arranged jungle-like cafe (perhaps a restaurant?), you can actually see birds flying around the trees. Miyako restaurant [25 Mar 2004|02:00am] [ mood | full ] I finished work early the other day so I decided to leave to Dubai with my sister, we didn't have much in mind but having a nice lunch, so I suggested that we try something new..we've made a reservation for two at the Hyatt Regency's Japanese restaurant in Dubai "Miyako" as I've heard all good things about. We've arrived in time for lunch and of course I could not resist taking pictures of the place. It was beautifully decorated in a traditional Japanese style. Our hosts took us to the Tatami Room that we reserved. It was a small room but decorated nicely..I've had a lot of thought on the way to the restaurant about how will I be sitting on the floor, fortunately under the table there was a place where you can place your feet just like sitting on a chair. We had a hard time deciding what to eat.. we've ordered a selection of sushi that contains imported and local fish includes gunkan, also miso soup, prawns tempura, bento, onigiri.. (I know, we over did it (^^u.. we couldn't even finish all the dishes that we had to take some home.) .. I had to convince my sister to eat the raw fish but she couldn't do it.. I ended replacing the nigiri that came with the bento with norimaki. I've enjoyed the other dishes but I'll make sure not to dip everything in wasabi sauce ( ; _ ; ) and I did everything to avoid eating the nori *sigh*. The dessert was perfect, I loved the macha ice cream. I would love to try other dishes next time something I might really enjoy f(^^u .. It was a nice experience after all and we've enjoyed our time there.. afterward we went to Markato mall (Jumirah beach road) ..I'll be posting the pictures I took there in few days.
